​Expertise
Nigel is Senior Counsel with ERI in their Muscat office in Oman and specializes in international energy, engineering and construction contracts. Nigel’s experience includes negotiating and drafting standard and amended forms (FIDIC) and advising on contractual and legal issues arising in relation thereto.

Nigel has over 30 years claims and disputes experience in different jurisdictions world-wide including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR. Nigel has worked on projects in Europe, USA, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Qata, and Oman.



​Career
Admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1982, Nigel joined niche practice Bristows in London where he was made Partner. In 1995, Nigel joined international engineering and construction company Skanska where he headed up the disputes resolution section within the legal department. After 12 years, Nigel left to undertake arbitration work with Corbett & Co, then claims and dispute work with Systech Solicitors in Dubai and Qatar before joining ERI in Muscat.
