Tanya is a senior lawyer in the international banking and finance sector and corporate governance specialist experienced in advising financial institutions and companies alike from both the private practice and in-house perspectives. She is currently based in Muscat, Oman where she is focused on ensuring clients achieve their transactional, growth and international corporate governance goals through effective transaction negotiation, risk management and project governance.

 

Tanya’s experience includes construction project finance agreements and related contracts, acquisition finance, trade finance and corporate finance in EMEA and the Asia Pacific regions. She is experienced in negotiating large and small financing transactions and the related security and corporate documentation.

 

Tanya’s notable transactions include construction project finance restructuring of a large-scale residential and retail development project in Muscat, Oman; private Equity financing arrangements for a group of private investment funds; project finance restructuring for the Adani Abbot Point Coal Terminal, QLD, Australia; project finance restructuring of the Reliance Rail PPP commuter train project in NSW, Australia; project financing and English law governed security arrangements in respect of warehousing and logistics facilities in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation; project finance restructuring for a Mozambique para-statal corporation; promissory note purchase programs for issue by each of the City of Almaty and the East Kazakhstan Oblast, Kazakhstan; acquisition financing and refinancing arrangements for the Earls Court & Olympia exhibition and conference centres in London, England; acquisition financing arrangements for Imperial Tobacco’s transforming acquisition of the Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken GmbH group of companies.



​Career
Tanya was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1999 and to the Supreme Court of England and Wales, 2005. She has worked for international law firms in Sydney, London, Moscow and Muscat. Tanya is a director of NGO TraumAid International and an advocate of diversity in the Boardroom.
